wow, it was quite a bit hotter than i was expecting out there. i wanted to be faster, but i brought home a respectable 34 & change. no worries, it's gorgeous out. time to enjoy the weather. i know at least a few other sombies were out there. hope y'all did great. i also forgot to wear my timing chip, a first for me. you'd think when i run 15 or so races a year i'd remember to do stuff like that.

What an awesome day for this. My finishing time was 45:22 - which considering I spent most of my time trying to get past the runners on cell phones, runners that were basically fast walking 6 wide and other slow pokes - I am satisfied w/ it.

My chip time was 37:58 and my clock time was 44:12. It took me six minutes to even get to the starting line and twenty minutes to get through the beer line.
Sorry, I was being pretentious. Please don't mess with my stars.

There is some video of the run up on the main Tribune page right now. Congrats to those who ran. Enjoy.
Whatever.

Hey, I missed this thread. I was there. We couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous day. I ran pretty well, I guess. I had an injured foot (some lady punctured my foot with the heel of her shoe at smartbar two nights earlier) and was getting over bronchitis, but my time was only 5 minutes slower than last year. I guess that's pretty decent. Now, I'm training for the Soldier Field 10 mile race. Anyone else doing that one? GOOD WORK SOMB KIDS!

I'll be out of town for that one. Right now I'm planning on the Naperville 10k on the April 15 and the Wrigley Early Run the next weekend.

mm, yeah. training for soldier field, among other races. that was one of the better races i ran last year, and one of the few i was happy with. we'll see if i can possibly run faster this year. best of luck training to everyone. consistency is the key. keep on runnin'
