What book was once owned by only the wealthy, but now nearly everyone can have it? You can't buy it in a bookstore or take it from a library?

Elco was that kid in class who excitedly waved his hand in the air every time the teacher lobbed a softball question over the plate.

Oh yeah I bet you were the jackass who sat in the back and mocked everyone!

We're having seasons FOR ONCE. Summer was a few months ago. This is fall. Winter doesn't start until just before xmas. People who beg for snow & sweaters are seriously the worst people.

The worst people are the ones that say "OMG this month is almost over! Can you believe it's already Novembet 12!? November is almost over! Thanksgiving is, like, next week!!!"

well.. you know... its a little fucked up.... this year has been like a fucking blur.

Spam subject lines finally dampen their ridiculous claims: "Experience masturbation like never before." Such a realistic, grammatically correct goal that I almost clicked on it.

There is a clothing store in Bartlesville. The owner has devised his own method of pricing items. A vest costs $20, socks cost $25, a tie costs $15 and a blouse costs $30. Using the method, how much would a pair of underwear cost?

I'll send the first person who PMs me a free pair of lovingly worn underwear. Autographed or not, your choice.

same with pants. I'm guessing that at one time the legs were the "pants", so since there are 2 leg coverings, they were called pants. I suspect it's something like that. I guess underwear must have the same history.

odd though that a shirt is singular, despite having 2 arms and even more odd that a bra isn't an item that's considered a "pair". Anyhoo, $45.

what makes you think I can?

edit: thanks google

Before the days of modern tailoring, such garments, whether underwear or outerwear, were indeed made in two parts, one for each leg. The pieces were put on each leg separately and then wrapped and tied or belted at the waist (just like cowboys’ chaps). The plural usage persisted out of habit even after the garments had become physically one piece. However, a shirt was a single piece of cloth, so it was always singular.
