Fox Grill .... a total hick bar that tries to look like a hunting lodge in a totally non-ironic way.

Ha, I've had pretty similar experiences on the rare occasions we've gone in there. Super friendly, weird ass people. Usually a good time but not the sorta place you wanna become a regular.

Yup. That's the joint in a nutshell. Friendly with weird ass people.

Not even the Dalai Lama? Surely, you could learn from him.

I've got kinda big things to do for three classes tomorrow. I am going to take an hour and a half nap. Probably not a good idea, but whatever. I'm tired. Maybe I'll go into a coma. That seems like a good option.

Depends on rather or not your parents are paying your insurance, rent, food, etc bills.

There is no definate moment when we are "grown up." Best to not waste so much energy thinking about something essentially unquantifiable.

But it does mean you are willing to stand up for yourself and what is right, so yeah, if that don't make you an adult, what does? Better to have a good moral compass and know what to do with it than try to stack up to what other people see as "adult." Good for you Beth, don't take no shit off nobody.

I actually think there can be moments that vault us into adulthood. I knew I was an adult the day a student confided in me. If this is a bellwether event for you, you'll know in a few years.

the grown up comment was a joke. im just saying that today was the first time i have ever really gone off on an adult in a professional setting, who had it coming. 12 years in a catholic school where it is burned into your brain to respect adults and that you are a mere child really stays with ya. feels pretty good to tell and adult to shut up when they are being out of line. especially an MD.
