heh. POSTING ON PAGE 420 WOOOOOOO
But among the jackals, the panthers, the bitch hounds, The apes, the scorpions, the vultures, the serpents, The yelping, howling, growling, crawling monsters, In the filthy menagerie of our vices, There is one more ugly, more wicked, more filthy! Although he makes neither great gestures nor great cries, He would willingly make of the earth a shambles And, in a yawn, swallow the world; He is Ennui! — His eye watery as though with tears, He dreams of scaffolds as he smokes his hookah pipe. You know him reader, that refined monster, — Hypocritish reader, — my fellow, — my brother!

I don't know what I signed onto to get those e:mails, but I got them also. I was inundated with them for months and I never read one of them.

Under the Stars Through a weekend at the beach, entire days of relaxation, and breathtaking sunsets with friends, it took the simplest of things to set my mind reeling. We lost power. With cell phones we found candles. We crept up flickering stairs and moved to the balcony. We stood in silence, craned our necks, and sat down in wonder. The wind extinguished forgotten candles. Around us were miles of pitch black and above were galaxies of light. The sea’s clamors engulfed us and a damp, scented zephyr filled our lungs. Each solitary pinprick of light was inextricable from the whole. Elegantly contorted, the soul of the universe was unveiled. Like it, we are all wound together and individual. We have spent years together, sharing smiles and homework. Like distant suns, some of us exchange pleasantries but never commit to friendship. It will be our partings that are most difficult, those acquaintances we know will fall out of touch without school. We will fade into each others' pasts like the trails of comets, a presence not missed until it has dissolved. Our last hello will be the hardest goodbye. Let’s not let it go wasted, when you reach out for a handshake, pull into an embrace.

I fully support Roache. I had serious concerns at first, but he's won me over. Plus, it gives Jack "Hang 'Em High" McCoy something to do besides be the best lawyer in the history of the universe.

Try to do the whole call with an Indian accent. See if they say anything to you about it. I have to remember to show up 2 hours early for an off-site Monday morning. I already feel like it's a lost cause.

derek, i did not mention my appetite. it transcends my heartbeat.

we haven't actually decided how to crown a winner. do we just expect one of us to give up, and if that doesn't happen we compete again in another challenge?

k-mac here's the way i envisioned it if we were to do the ten dollar-menu challenge we get between one and three judges and eat. every item finished counts as one dollar worth of food eatten. whoever eats the most in dollars is the winner. if someone can only finish, say, half of a cheeseburger, the judges will then determine whether they get 50-cents worth of credit added to their total or wat this seems like the only fair and logical manner to do this that or we eat see who can down a crave case first. a challenge i think i would have no chance at, but it would be worth it to try and contend.
