"What is up with boca burgers? I mean, for real, if you're all anti-meat because you think it's cruel and akin to murder, why do you make all your food look just like the damn thing? I mean, do you walk around with your peace gun or burn a cross for tolerance? I don't think so."-Ben

Bottom line..I enjoyed it and gained enlightenment but no matter how many times you think you find the key to all the worlds problems...nope...just not there.
Quit doing them when the realties of life came about...family, bills, etc.
Best advice...never do it in a public place...always in a controlled environment or out in the wilderness...and when on a freaky trip..always remember it'll end sooner or later.
I had more fun dropping acid in the eye of a cat and watching it tweak and shiver(still to this day in fact) then I ever had dropping it myself
and that's cruel...not cool.

about 50 times or so but this was from...say...1976 to 1985. too much work to tell the tales though many there were.

totally OTM post here. I have emboldened the statements that are very true, while italicizing the statements that highlight Rob Gordon's geezerliness. Though a cool, drug-doin' geezer he is.

LSD provides a considerably better, more predictable, and more rewarding experience than mushrooms in my experience. Just FYI.
Disagree.
I see you by your dresser doing your make-up
Fluttering a Chinese fan in a Knoxville fashion
All last night you tossed and turned
Your body was hotter than the night Richmond burned

Hah. yeah. Was counting on this response from you
I've just had a couple of uneasy shroom trips, due (I think) to more unpredictability in the product. All of my Acid trips have been stone-cold-classics.
Totally into shrooms, as well. They're totally different experiences, though. I was just pointing out to Pinkerton that LSD (well, I don't know about makeshift rural Alabama LSD) isn't anything to be intimidated by. Any increased intensity is only for the best.

Gave up shrooms at the same time but never did that many due to availability I suppose. There is something to be said for the organic versus man-made. Shrooms tend to keep coming at you in waves. Oh...I think I'm comin' down....no...wait a minute...wham...trippin' again.

Next time you take shrooms, put on Echoes after you get going. That is all.
There is an organic quality to mushrooms that supercedes the slight artifical vibe from LSD. The best trips are music listening parties or campfires/camping(although the fire can suck you in too much, so it's good to get away so you can see the night sky).

unless you start having a bad trip, then you're confused, far from home, and certain that you are in hell.
I meant shrooms. acid, yeah that seems like it could go real bad.

same thing could happen on shrooms. in fact that's what i thought you were talking about anyway.
I've never heard of a bad trip on shrooms, plus, if you really wanna trip, that wont happen on shrooms
