I just remembered a few days ago that I have an adult-aged half brother who I've never met. He was born in Atlanta. Wouldn't it be weird if it was him?

Hey Burzum, are your initials G.C.?

Ha, nope, not me.

Fiat Records...that's very pathetic. Yet kind of awesome. Good luck to Fiat Records' mom.

She had no luck. I called and talked her through it. She went to press send on the eMail and she goes "OK it wants to know if you want to switch to Hotmail Live" after which I yelled at her, and then she went and re-did it, and finally sent it properly at 3:02. I didn't get a confirmation eMail. Fuck.

So... it woulda been really nice if Matador let us know ahead of time that we'd get a confirmation eMail if we beat the buzzer, at which point we could relax and buy the damn thing whenever we want. Instead, poor Fiat Records' Mom was sitting trying to load the matador Store to see if a link popped up.

it's just so stupid to do such a limited release like this... 100? why not 300? why not a non-limited thing...

thinking about buying this.

"Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour."

I'll fuck an ugly chick and let her have the baby all to herself in return for a copy of the record. Hopefully one of the 100 lucky winners is an ugly chick who reads this thread.

That's my dad's birthday so unless I can persuade him to come it's unlikely. I've already seen him once anyway (JR, not my father)

So you'd rather see your dad for the 10,000th time than see Jay Reatard for the second time? You're soft. I bet your dad won't even kick anybody in the face.

So I think I really like these three new ones. At first I wasn't too sold on 'em, but yeah, they're good. They feel more punkish to me for some reason. I dunno. I just like these things a lot. So there's one more of these 7"s to come out, correct? I imagine noone will get it. Absolutely noone.

'DOA' is pretty much perfect. Perfect length. Perfect use of synths. Perfect everything. This is a pretty great single.
