Every Sunday morning I wake up
I see you by your dresser doing your make-up
Fluttering a Chinese fan in a Knoxville fashion
All last night you tossed and turned
Your body was hotter than the night Richmond burned
You say you had a bad nightmare about tractor trailers crashing

I agree their records are a bit overrated (apart from the bonus disc off the first album and 45:33 which are both awesome), but they make up for it by being fucking amazing live. I've seen them four times now and not once been dissapointed.
Well cool on the web like Spiderman.

Nevermind how good the lyrics are to "All My Friends" or "Something Great" or anything.
Nice bowl of Crunchy Nut you got here, pretty expensive as I recall.

Go see them live, watch them do a 15 minute version of "Yeah", and if you're still standing tell me they aren't great.
Well cool on the web like Spiderman.

They blow. Here's a real live band:

Absolutely, the lyrics in those two songs are straight up solid.
I don't see how you can say that they're not.
Sorry, I was being pretentious. Please don't mess with my stars.

DBT aren't even the same genre. Otherwise I'd just compare everything to Daft Punk live and then everything loses.

Actually, Daft Punk really isn't live. Just a small little detail there. They are DJ's, not live artists. And I've seen far better live shows than Daft Punk.

Electronica live = dogshit.

Mixing live is still producing a live act. I think my conclusion to all this is that you're not much of a dancer, which is fair enough but it kind of renders your opinions on dance music a bit pointless.

Eh..not really.

Maybe. But then again, dance music has always been bad live save for the funk bands.

Totally disagree, but yeah there's still no point comparing Drive by truckers to dance stuff. It's like comparing Mogwai to Dizzee Rascal or something.

Can’t we dress him up like bootsy and make him shake his money maker...sounds like he wouldn't need much coercion.

I thought you were going to be showing me a good live band.

EDIT: Actually, I quite like DBT. I was trying to start some dance-fighting and controversy. But I can't support the above statement.

However, LCD rules. That album is still in my top 5 for this year.
