The sound is out of sync, the performance is a'ight, but the highlight is at the end: Dave Letterman walks down to greet the MM guys, and he ABSOLUTELY DWARFS THEM. They're tiny. Or he's huge. Or both. Check the vid for proof positive. (Or maybe it's one of those illusion things.)

I love how the band is a bunch of Pacific Northwest lumberjacks and Marr is this slick British hipster. So ridiculous. And 2 drummers?! Out of control. Good performance for a late night show.

I met Johnny Marr in the early 90s and he was slightly shorter than me. I am only 5'7.

Isaac and Johnny are both pretty short. I dwarfed them when I met them last week, and I'm only 5'11.

I like MM, but they always sounded to me like angry dwarves with good chops.

I think Sparkleface is onto something. It looks like all modern-late-night-network-talk-show hosts are above 6 ft. I suppose this gives them power over most of their guests, in person and on camera. Craig Kilbourn - 6 ft 5 Conan O'Brien - 6 ft 4 in David Letterman - 6 ft 2 in Carson Daly - 6 ft 2 in Craig Ferguson - 6 ft 1.5 in Jimmy Kimmel - 6 ft 1 in edit: looks like Jay Leno is the exception at 5 ft 11 in. He's also the exception for sucking more than the others. Am I missing anybody else?

wow. i feel fortunate i got to see them right before the record came out and the real "tour" even started. they seem tired, particularly in the vocal dept. not a terrible performance by any means (the band still sounds good), isaac just seems wiped out.

no, it's a compliment. One of the few modern bands to have their own sound and still write very good songs.
