Don't really know if anyone really cares aside from me, but Zach Galifianakis is a fucking funny dude. "After much thought into this, I have finally come to a conclusion as to why the ‘Meet the Spartans’ commercial is so funny:

It is an interesting choice to have Sanjaya sing ‘I’m not gay,’ as his final words on earth. As he is plummeting into a seemingly bottomless pit, he does not say ‘dear god no,’ ‘I love you mom,’ or even simply ‘argh.’ He instead takes the moment to reaffirm to the world, in spite of their doubts, that he is not a homosexual. Not only that, but he continues to sing, despite falling to his certain death. The distinct lack of plausibility of this situation is what produces giggles from our mouth. It is the antithesis to the belief that ‘it’s funny because it is true.’

I've long championed Mr. Galifanakas. Very funny guy. I was really glad when he guested on The Sarah Silverman Program.

He had a show on VH1 a long time ago that I thought was great. But obviously no one was watching and by the end you could tell he was just totally sabataging it the last few episodes. His interviews with people waiting in line at the Stars Wars premier was hilarious. I've always loved his stand up routine.

I'm pretty excited he is coming to play the vic. Any idea when the tickets go on sale? Do people sit there or stand? I found a torrent not too long ago with the Late World episodes. There is some pretty great stuff in there. Have you seen his new dvd "live at the purple onion?" I love the seth galifianakis stuff.

This guy is hilarious. I can never remember his full name. I just refer to him as that dude with the beard, Zach whatshisface. If he ever shaves I'll never know who he is.

That VH1 show always had great musical guests, too. Sometimes 4-5 per episode.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of his work, ever since he played Santa in the Stella short "Searching for Santa" and he said to Mrs. Claus "Can you feel my hard-on? Will you suck it?"

Playing the Vic? This is great news. If they charge a reasonable price, that will be even greater news.

No matter the price, I will certainly be there. I think my parents are interested in going, too. My mom saw the Purple Onion dvd with me and thought it was hialrious, and she isn't a big standup comedy person. Totally pumped.

He was at Crash Test (free variety show hosted by Human Giant at the Upright Citizens Brigade) last night. In his set he brought out an offer he got to do Celebrity Fit Club. He then proceeded to call the woman who sent the offer while onstage and messed with her about the offer, including saying of the money offered "$70,000, huh? I could probably buy a wheelchair with that money to wheel around in. Because I'm so fucking fat." She hung up after that. Oh, and BTW, I'm likely going to be in the audience for some of Human Giant's little MTV marathon thing this Friday.

He is confirmed to be a part of their MTV 24-Hour special. Goddamn do I wish I had cable. I would totally waste away and watch as much of that as humanly possible.

Friday starting at noon. They are hosting 24-hours straight on MTV with special guests including Zack and Will Arnett and Michael Cera and like other indie-related people. It sounds pretty awesome.

i don't think they replay these monster all-day and night marathons. but there will undoubtedly be clips and the like surfacing online of the highlights of it. so rather than sit 22 hours to see a 13 minute zack gallifainakis segment, i'll just wait until sunday monring and watch the youtube of it.
