Apparently PG is touring Europe this summer. Take a look at the link for details, but if he does even half of what he's rehearsing, he's pulling out some majorly old, rare, and obscure tracks. Including:
And Through the Wire
Moribund the Burgermeister
Waiting for the Big One
Humdrum
We Do What We're Told
This is the Picture
DIY
White Shadow
Lay Your Hands On Me
On the Air
Family Snapshot
Not One of Us
Mother of Violence
Intruder
I Don't Remember
No Self Control

Good Christ, I hope he comes to the US with this.

Man, I gotta say, I'm no huge Peter Gabriel fan, but I saw his tour for Up -- great, underrated album, by the way -- and it was stunning. Probably the best arena-level show I've seen.

Yeah, I'd have to seriously consider attending this if it were to come stateside...which I kind of doubt.

I've seen Gabriel twice and wouldn't hesitate to see him again. Aways a great show. He's truly underrated.

Peter Gabriel's Up, is prolly the best album ever with that title.

What...no Solsbury Hill...kidding...just kidding. Really impressive song choices. I haven't missed a US touring Peter Gabriel since his last run with Genesis doing Lamb Lies Down... Obviously, anxiously hoping he brings this sort of list to our shores. Funny Gabriel show moment: Was at Blossom (the shed here)...must have been a late 80's tour. Youssou NDour was the warm up on that tour. Anyway, they were setting up to film Biko for a video. I thought the guys working with the cameramen looked familiar. Then it struck me...it was Godley and Creme. So naturally I shouted out to them "hey...10CC rules". We all laughed.

Sounds like you're from my neck of the woods....or rather, where I grew up. NE Ohio?

Last show I saw there, I believe, was the Bowie/NIN one. Nice venue, though. Way better than Tweeter, or whatever they're calling it now.

i've seen him 3 times and it was always phenomenal.

by the way, i'm sure he'll also do stuff from So. i can't see him touring without pulling out "In Your Eyes" or "Sledgehammer" once in a while.

You can add Rhythm of the Heat to stuff he's rehearsing, with the added tantalizing thought on his webpage: "Will everybody end up playing drums?"

I will end up flying to Europe for this, I just know it.

Hours following my return, he will announce the American leg.

It didn't mention it on his website. There's gotta be a review that says whether he did or not, though. My only complaint: of all his old songs, I'd pretty much sell my whole family to hear Humdrum.

I'll bet he'll do an American leg. I'd be nice to see him in a place like the Chicago Theater doing a scaled back show. He could never top the last two tours he did from a visual standpoint. I saw him at the Uptown and it was incredible but I was perhaps too young to enjoy it in full. I did see him do Humdrum and that version ended up on the Plays Live album (from Illinois State University in 82). He also played Lead a Normal Life (which they've never played to my knowledge) because they were playing Normal IL. To top it off, I was sitting next to Adrian Belew during the show.
From prog to punk thanks to one influential album:
