Off the top of my head I can think of about 20 singles undeniably more deserving of being the first baby emo #1 before this song, including that ridiculous Cute Is What We Aim For jam and the compleat Panic At The Disco

I must have told this story already... but I can't even confront this issue without mentioning this crazy girl I knew in high school who fell in love with someone from the Plain White T's. This was 4-5 years ago. She dropped out and went on the road with him and we never saw her again. Hilar.

I thought this was Bright Eyes when I heard it. Have the two bands ever been seen in the same room together? Man does music suck these days. ' k

I certainly don't mean to be all doom and gloom about the current state of pop music I just hate this song with an epic passion. And to think I was worried about the new Gym Class Heroes single

and there's more Nickelback to come!
Aren't there any girls out their who like good music? I need to and want to meet them. My favorite bands are Overkill River, The Nife, Songs:Ohio, and Nuetral Milk Hotel. Please let me know if your into indy music and like to go to show's and drink beer's and makeout.

to be honest I will crank 30% of all nickelback songs in the car for lolz and sing along to This Is How You Remind Me but I'd leave a store if Hey There Delilah came on the radio. And I just realized this knocked Umbrella out of the #1 spot, UMBRELLA!!

the Plain White T's.

huh. so this band is #1 on the charts? I overheard a guy I work with telling a coworker his son is in that group...weird. I'd never heard of this band so I didn't care.

I'm beginning to weaken to this after forced exposure everywhere I turn. There's been much worse number ones, thats for sure. And, once again, kessler proves how clueless he is when it comes to music made after 1976. This sounds nothing like Bright Eyes. Stick to slobbering Springsteen's cock, buddy.
"Mellow... but not smooth... kinda shitty."
"Jimmy Buffett..."

Never could get into this band. Seen 'em a couple times opening for other bands, but apparently they're popular now. Huh.

I don't think the Bright Eyes comparison was that much of a stretch. It does sound like him. And PWTs suck just as hard in general.

On one hand aw he must be so proud; on the other hand his kid should basically be in jail

I don't like this song, but there is far worse out there. It's pretty generic and unoffensive. I never thought these dorks would be famous, though.

They are playing the Dupage County fair next week and Great America in August. Their publicist has a Disney e-mail address. WTF?
