dude random non-rap listeners post shit like this every single year since i've been on this boardIt'd be nice if 2007 hip-hop was starting to turn around, because this year has been kinda lackluster.
which is, embarrassingly, like 5 yrs now

Awesome.

Damo Suzuki: So, um, yeah. Getting older isn't as bad as it sounds. Better than being young & poor (DjDrake) or young & slutty (SG) or young, poor and slutty (Paves); am I right?
Alright, my friends. It's time for another solid little rock jam

I like how the more militant hip-hop defenders on somb post using some kind of internet ebonics. It assures me they're for real.
Seriously.
Still caring about hip hop albums is kind of cute, though.

Realizing that 75% of most rap/hip hop albums is filler is not a function of age.

Hip hop died when record companies got greedy and started charging an arm & a leg for samples. Now all we get is that awful southern cheap drum machine/synth strings bullshit. There's a few torchbearers out there (Pharoahe Monch album ruled this year), but it just hasn't been worth keeping up with the last few years.
