I'm looking for an album cover to pay homage to with the cover of a live album that I'm putting out. Anyone got any thoughts? Also...any good examples of live albums where the word live is used in a sentence in the title. Things like: Got Live if you want it. Frampton Comes Alive

oh yeah...a caveat. We probably can't actually stage something (or, if we can, we probably can't do it with a crowd.

The band is one ring zero, whose main instruments are an accordion and a claviola.

Also, they look like this:

I'd kill for them to be able to restage the cover of london calling, but it's pretty unlikely, so I'm trying to think of some live albums that don't have live shots.

Or, something like this that could be replicated mostly through font and type placement

If you somehow managed to recreate this cover...

...it would just be the most awesome thing.

Damo Suzuki: So, um, yeah. Getting older isn't as bad as it sounds. Better than being young & poor (DjDrake) or young & slutty (SG) or young, poor and slutty (Paves); am I right?

Alright, my friends. It's time for another solid little rock jam

Also, RE: The title. The original album: As Smart As We Are The name of the film: As Smart As They Are Live album (serving as the soundtrack to the film): As Live As We Are Is this lame? It seems to me that it's a reference to other live albums that are titled like this, but my mind is mostly blank thinking of them.

EDIT: Ha, I guess it's really called "As Live As WE ARE." Still, this is what my cover would be if this was my band. Then again, if it was my band, we would be called Lightning Kikes and the album would be called Live At Auschwitz.

You can call it "something nikcufecin". OK, I acknowledge that this is of completely no help for your purposes, but damn, what a live album/video thing.

I'm embarrassed by the fact that this guy wrote most of my favorite Beatles song. Digressing even more: It's pretty entertaining how in the Anthology film there's all this passive-aggression from George and Ringo toward Paul, like they're thinking, "How did this fucking guy write those fucking songs?"
make it three yards, motherfucker, and we'll have an automobile race

You could do something as a funny homage to this without being graphic, I'm sure (it used to scare me when I was a kid)

personally, i'd go with something like this.

"Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour."
