I'm pretty sure there is nearly universal disdain for these guys...but "The Best Little Secrets Are Kept" was a huge guilty pleasure for me.
Downloaded the new EP on iTunes today. Even more shameless T. Rex ripoffs...and I'm bloody loving it.

It is what it is. It's still evolving. Seeing as how the music portion is at least 50% me and I have to take care of so many things, this is how it's coming out now. I feel sick even defending myself, but whatever.
Louis XIV are indeed great. And I don't care how I come off when writing about music I love.

You know what? After listening to the EP another 3 or 4 times...I don't think it's very good.
Still stand by "The Best Little Secrets Are Kept," though.

Just hasslin' ya...no biggie.
I didn't like the first song much at first, but kept listening and then found my way into it. The two non-album tracks are great, but the Flash Gordon tune is a bit of a throwaway. Fun, but non-essential. But that's what's great about EPs. I really wish there were more of them.
