So, The Hype Machine, a blog mp3 aggregator, is relaunching their site with what I'm sure are a bunch of great useless new features. However, they aren't going to actually launch it until there are 10,000 people viewing the site at once. You can't get much more annoying than that. Hype Machine, if yer gonna be annoying I'll just go to elbo.ws instead.

I can only hope that most people immediately get turned off, and the site never gets the needed traffic to open. Not that I have anything against the site. I just like to watch stunts backfire.

Well, yeah, I've seen that those work, but I miss the ability to just enter an artist's name, click on the listen link for a song that turned up, and then have the option to immediately work through all the other songs that immediately popluated the pop-up playlist. It was a nice touch.
