Anyone else enjoying this album? Parts of it still have to grow on me a bit (dude can get a little squealy), but otherwise it's a strong, at times really catchy full-length.

I really like "Hummingbird" but the rest of the album feels a bit flat to me. "Foxes Mate For Life" and "I Need A Life" are also pretty good, actually. Still, I probably won't be playing the album a few weeks from now though. In terms of '08 debut albums by Canadian indie bands, I'm dying to hear the Tokyo Police Club LP. Also heard whispers of a new Malajube album later this year, which would be awesome.

I saw them with Caribou this fall. It was cute, one of them went up to the bar to get a drink, and was all nervous cuz he's obviously under 21. But he was in the band, so it mattered not. They were really fun when I saw them live, and I read that they're playing ATP.

I'm pretty charmed by this record. Nothing that does things as well as 'This Song Will Save / Ruin Your Life', but it still caught me more than most. I'm looking forward to seeing them live. I could see them getting into a tussle with the Vampire Weekend chaps. "Where's your clean guitar line now, eh Ezra?!"

Album is awful. Deleted after a couple listens. Awful.

I like a few of the tracks, but it's just a little too yelpy and cute. They're going for this naive, stripped Violent Femmes vibe, but it backfires and they sound like amateurs with a budget. I like "Foxes Mate For Life", "Hummingbird", and "Vonnegut," but I'm not sure if that's just because I can't bring myself to stand behind a song titled "Barnacle Goose" or "Badonkadonkey." Sloppy twee stuff abounds. This record is going to give people rashes. Understandable.

This is one of the best albums of this year. I haven't heard anything this infectious since the Vampire Weekend LP.

Might take me a little while to get past the voice on this but I like the songs.
Nice bowl of Crunchy Nut you got here, pretty expensive as I recall.

it's still in the recycle bin, I might dig it out later if I'm bored and give it another shot.
