Taste of the Chicago is: Stevie Wonder Chaka Khan ==== so far a big step up from fucking John Mayer, and both make me actually want to watch music at the Taste of Chicago. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. and.. Plain White T's Joss Stone Fantasia Jazz festival has fucking ORNETTE COLEMAN and SONNY ROLLINS. I'm sure the people here who care are few and far between, but the jazz festival last year was one of the best weekends of the summer- seeing two all time great musicians is a huge added bonus. It's April, I'm getting antsy- who else is playing outside?

(UPDATE) Friday, July 4, 2008 3:00 p.m. City of Chicago & 93XRT present Special Guest GOMEZ ALEJANDRO ESCOVEDO 9:00 p.m. City of Chicago presents BLUE MAN GROUP 9:30 p.m. FIREWORKS Saturday, July 5, 2008 5:30 p.m. City of Chicago, BUD LIGHT Music & 93XRT present BONNIE RAITT (Obviously 'XRT is having a hard time getting more people come out for this. I won't even bother listing the Radio Disney-sponsored July 6 lineup. Bonnie's gotten way too AC, as we know, but I hear she puts on a good show. But I would definitely want to sit in for Stevie Wonder)

Yeah, this was around last year.

I am really excited to see the "undercard" for this for both days. The Empty Bottle is currating it, so there's a potential for a pretty rad lineup. I know Frightened Rabbit and the 1900s are playing it, as well. So yeah. Could be really rad.

Pretty sure Do-Division Fest is what used to be called West Fest, no? By any name, Empty Bottle curating it definitely brought it up a few notches.

I believe Wicker Park Fest includes Isis and Red Sparrowes in their lineup. Hasn't been announced yet.

This would make sense as last year had High on Fire headline0, no?

when's the taste of randolph lineup being announced? they usually get quality bands like black keys, or my morning jacket, or smoking popes.
Sorry, I was being pretentious. Please don't mess with my stars.

Fuck, I haven't seen Isis in about 8 years. Gotta love WP fest for always bringing some nice stuff.
