This is pretty ridiculous:

http://www.nypost.co...owup_105278.htm

April 6, 2008 -- Sarah Jessica Parker is the unwitting inspiration for a new X-rated blowup doll whose packaging uses a look-alike model and references to Parker's character, Carrie Bradshaw, in the hit HBO show "Sex and the City."

Plastered on the box is a picture of a wavy-haired model in a sequin minidress holding a cosmopolitan. The labeling is in the same font as the "Sex and the City" typography.

The doll retails online for about $20 and is the latest in a line of celebrity blowups from Pipedream Products.

The Chatsworth, Calif., sex-toy company's Web site touts the doll with mock laudatory newspaper reviews, like this one from "USGay Today": "From laptops to lap dances, this high-class piece of a - - is gonna show you her Lower East Side!"

"I would think HBO would make an effort to stop this on the basis of trademark infringement," Brian Brokate, a Manhattan intellectual-property attorney, told The Post.

"The courts don't look kindly on this type of thing, which demeans the show and tarnishes the star's image," he added.

The Manowar Chocolate Ingot is probably the goofiest merch idea I've ever heard of. "This exclusive item is the size of a gold bar right out of Fort Knox comprised of pure custom made chocolate fudge with the MANOWAR logo branded across the bar." Needless to say, this only increased the number of fudge-packing jokes...

I'm surprised VW doesn't have a cable-knit sweater yet. Seems kinda obvious.

Also, Hadouken: the first band to have shoelaces before an album? Probably.

They have a load of stuff, beer mats, bags and so on. Books about nature you can buy at gigs.
Nice bowl of Crunchy Nut you got here, pretty expensive as I recall.

When I had my music talk show on radio in college, for some reason I would get sent swag for movies coming out. I got a Snow Dogs winter hat and then a weird set of stuff, including some strange variation on bingo for Nacho Libre.

I remember years back, Thursday left Victory records because they were promoting Thursday with a line of Thursday whoopie cushions. To this day, this promotion makes little to no sense to me. And I never have been able to find an image of these thingies. I would buy one just because they seem so absurd.
