if you knew anything about cornell, instead of pigeonholing him based on superficial rock history categorizations, you'd realize how stupid your thread is.

from what i've heard regarding the ongoings of that Soundgarden & GNR tour in 1991, i'd say no, but who knows, people change, and now that Axl is out of the equation...

what's even more amusing to me now is that they jumped off that tour to open for Skid Row in '92... granted i'd have considered that a dream bill then at 14 years old...

"Axl is out of the equation" is a much bigger factor than "people change."

group: "Pick up your feet, clumsy."

Chris Cornell became a turd two years after Louder Than Love came out.

Not quite as good as Pantera opening for Skid Row. All those chicks getting to the front of the stage early so they could be close to Sebastian Bach, and then like 30 seconds into Pantera's set, there's a massive surge forward as several dozen girls, crying hysterically with mascara running down their faces, come flying out from the front, holding hands and running for their lives as if someone had opened fire on the crowd. Good times.

I don't see Cornell doing it. I think he's happy being solo. I just wish he'd make some music more like "Seasons" from the Singles soundtrack or "Sun Showers" from the Great Expectations soundtrack instead of that crappy album he put out last year.

Soundgarden reunion in the next 3 years is pretty much a foregone conclusion, yes?

I try to avoid busting out all my "I was in Seattle when" stories, but let's just say I saw Soundgarden in basements, at parties, in a cemetary, at the Off Ramp with twenty other people, at the Crocodile Cafe with Iggy Pop sitting in, opening for Nirvana at Re-Bar, etc.

yeah, i'd say within the next 5 for sure...

there were pretty solid rumors of them playing the Sub Pop 20th Anniversary in Seattle in July.

next year will be the 25th anniversary of them forming too...

i think so too, just would need to time it opposite Pearl Jam's recording/touring schedule
