It's not like the truly rotten smell you get from a person cutting a stale fart. Skunks smell of nature. Takes me back to my youth in the countryside.

I've never had to taste their spray up close but from a distance, it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

i'd like to go on record as saying the fourth hour of a skunk spray is clearly the best. it's not even close.

Don't mind it either. Think it's just that it can be so pungent is what gets to people. Kind of smells like coffee on a plane. Or vice versa. Ha, does that make sense?

yeah, i don't mind it unless it's on the dog, in which case it is the worst kind of hell. otherwise, it just smells like good weed

My sister-in-law feels the same way...but she's weird anyway. :) in the 70s, we had de-scented skunks as pets on 3 different occasions (it was illegal to purchase in Illinois, so my dad went someplace in Indiana). I remember 2 of their names: Chanel and Aroma. :D They were cute and semi-cuddly, but they still smelled a bit musky and would often nip a finger if they got cranky. You know how Pepe Le Pew trotted in the old cartoons? They really do that!

That's what I was thinking. Stoners usually appreciate the smell.

We get a lot of skunks in our area and I find their smell quite offensive. In fact, twice our dog has been sprayed. Hydrogen Peroxide, dishwashing soap, baking soda and water mix do a nice job of getting rid of the scent.
The heart of soccer season, recitals, baseball, dance, piano... so busy, but so nice to have some sun these days.

There was serious skunk scent on the way to work the other day. It really just reminded me of the midwest. Had there been a little cut grass, or maybe Off! scent, wafting into the mix, I probably would have went into some sort of nostalgic seizure and drove into a bus stop full of children.

hence, "skunk weed"

I don't particularly care for the smell of either.

But I wouldn't say that a skunk's spray is the most objectionable smell. I'm sure there's something much worse. A pasture of cattle is pretty bad.

If a skunk sprays a tree in the woods, does it make a smell?

i chuckled under my breath at this

but rly, it's bad mainly at the intial assault. once you get past that your nose gets used to it and the smell seems less intense and really unobtrusive to me. the whole "aww damn a skunk" reaction is just at the start.
to me, skunk bud and skunk animal smell distinctively different. but that's just me.

The smell of skunks and cow poop remind me of summer in the country. In a weird sort of way, I love it. :)

I love Shatner's latest album. I listen to it fairly often. It's good.
