That should change in a couple months though. Don't think I can afford a house in the area I'll be shopping in, so I'm going for a conder

There's nothing more that I would like than to buy a nice house in a remote location in IL that is affordable. Alas I chose to work in the rich ass suburbs and a commute will be out of the question at this point. I'm driving 45 minutes each way from my P's to work and it's driving me up the wall.
I envy your situation Numpties
The northern redneck fundamentalists and the long-ass winters dampen my enthusiasm at times, but yeah it's a nice place if you're not too uppity.

Are you serious? Those are Chicago high-rise assessments. Man.Wow. My condo association fees (might as well be rent) are almost $325 on top of a mortgage and HELOC.my rent is $325
I've lived in a house for 5 years. I hate that my address says Chicago but feels suburban. Plus, yardwork sucks. So it's on the market, and I'm looking at lofts and townhouses.
