i also like that they're counted as one character, but i guess it's true that the two of them don't quite add up into one Spawn

No way. Kitty Pride is totally top 20. You didn't read Excalibur or Astonishing X-men?

Top 10 should look like this

1. Superman (Superman)
2. Batman (Batman)
3. Spider-Man (Spider-Man)
4. Wolverine (X-Men)
5. Joker (Batman)
6. The Hulk (Hulk)
7. Captain America (Captain America)
8. Rorschach (Watchmen)
9. Magneto (X-Men)
10. Wonder Woman (Wonder Woman)

And the real top ten is...

1. Wolverine (X-Men)
2. Batman (Batman)
3. Spider-Man (Spider-Man)
4. Superman (Superman)
5. Joker (Batman)
6. Rorschach (Watchmen)
7. Captain America (Captain America)
8. Hellboy (Hellboy)
9. Magneto (X-Men)
10. John Constantine (Hellblazer)

...are these really that dramatically different? Your #2, 3, 5, 7, and 9 are completely identical, while the 1 and 4 are switched. So you have 7 of ten matching. Is this such an offensive top 10?

I won't deny that. I used to read a ton, but haven't in probably 5 years or so, with the exception of a few collections I've picked up (Planet Hulk, Civil War, etc.)

But I still don't think my point is unvalid. It's not like the top 10 contains absolutely horrible characters. And again, 5 of Pink's top 10 are exactly position for position what Wizard has.
