I'm not sure about this Jenny Lewis chick anymore. Playing at a church? She better be serious. I just feel like it's some hipster put-on, the whole 'Are You There God, It's Me, Jenny' thing.

I got the impression you didn't like Rabbit Fur Coat a while back because of some of the lyrics questioning religion. I'm kind of a doubter so I enjoyed it, but that's just me.

That's exactly what I mean, so why is she going out of her way to play in a church?

I like it if it's genuine, she really sucks if it's half-hearted or some kind of mockery.

its like a group of nerds just get together to self indulge their self, just like sound opinions message board.

Thanks for the link Alright Still! You need RealPlayer to play those, but RealPlayer sucks so download Real Alternative (just google it, first result). The clips are very shitty quality but it doesn't sound overproduced like Under The Blacklight! It sounds more like the clear, plain production of RFC. Bad Man's World has strings... The Next Messiah is a fun country stomper. This is going to be great.

Yep, went on sale Friday, I picked up a pair.

Also ran by Epiphany a few weeks ago out for a run. Kind of poked my head in, but there was an actual church service going on so I didn't go any further than the vestibule. Looked like a pretty cool spot if it's within the main church, was all wood and stained glass.

I'm really psyched for this album. Elvis Costello! I'm quite interested to hear The Watson Twins album too. That is all I can articulate right now.

Ha, funny.

I hope this leaks soon. Don't get me wrong, I've already pre-ordered a copy, but I just want to hear it ASAP.

I might buy this just to listen to Elvis's backup vocals.

Still waiting for Slackmo to delete this thread.

I'm surprised this isn't getting more hype. RFC was awesome....just listened to it again the other day and it holds up great...really timeless quality to the music.

It was numero uno on the board poll in 2006. I'm pretty psyched.

Sounds great -- or -- sounds like it WILL sound great. Every interview to follow will involve some variation on the question of "Have you really done acid?"
