I was just browsing through the different topics in this exceptional forum and I saw something that caught my attention. The SOMB archive, I read one of the posts that gave the history of Sound Opinion went back so far. When I joined I just figured this was some other forum where people discussed music but it's more than that. When I joined this forum my goal was to broaden what I listen to as far as music. I was disappointed in myself when I looked through my iTunes library and found 95% of it being rock/metal. I find the indie scene to be very interesting and I am trying to indulge in that. At the same time the underground metal scene has grabbed my attention. I picked up some Public Enemy from the library and absolutely loved the album fear of a black planet. But I still have a long way to go. I want to broaden my horizons to pop, new age rap, hip-hop, etc. When I look at some of the reviews given by fellow "SOMBies" I can't even understand what they are saying...they use TERMS that over my head lol. It leaves me dumbfounded when I looked through the top 100 albums of 2007 thread. So many votes! I have listened to like 2 albums from 2007! Another goal of me coming here is to stay up-to-date on current music which I struggle with. I would love to participate in voting for a best album of 2008 but I wouldn't know where to start as far as finding albums...if anybody could be help me out there it would be much appreciated. I am now considered a lurker in this thread and have been here for a few weeks. I have made my self look like a total idiot to some a la Hero. Sorry for being so misinformed in that Brett Favre chat but I still stand by my Hester being a first round draft pick, the Anquan Boldin thing was pretty frigen retarded though. Hopefully, I can bring new ideas to SOMB in the future. I can broaden my horizons. And be able to understand the music reviewing "lingo." If anyone ever needs help tabluating any of those results for the polls, I know there is one going on right now for top 50 artists of all time PM me. I only have 100 some posts so I don't know if you guys want to trust me but I don't have much going on right now until school starts again so I would be happy to help. Hopefully my time here will be very enjoyable. Thanks Wrestlin'

haha, well me and my dad own them and go to a lot of the games. The games we don't go we sell on Ebay and right now Cub tickets are going threw the roof. I don't know if you have heard of the Cubs Offical magazine, Vineline, but in every single issue they have an article called view from aisle 429. Thats where are seats are row 2. I can't wait for the playoffs and hopefully a World Series. GO CUBS!
