ok this is really, really good.

wow.

just good old fashioned rock 'n roll here. nothing fancy or frilly about it. dudes with guitars singing about things that dudes sing about.

totally.

they wear their influences on their sleeves proudly, but damn if it doesn't sound totally authentic & heartfelt. it's textbook rock n roll played extremely well.

headlining US tour in March apparently, after Europe

nice!!

has anyone heard their back-catalogue. i believe they have several older lps?

first record is quite good too, but i prefer '59 Sound. i've got an acoustic EP and some demos i can post up.

'The Patient Ferris Wheel' is just great This album is great. I feel confident enough to say that after only four or so listens. Just a genuinely great disc here.

I thought that too, but then forgot to look it up to see if I was right. Not a Bosstones fan at all, but backing singalong vocals in small doses is the perfect use for the guy. I love that part of the song.

Good album. Not as good as New Wave or Sam's Town in my opinion, mainly because those albums changed things up a bit more than this one did. There are a few standout songs here but the others all sound pretty similar.

My roommate downloaded one yesterday. He's hooked on these guys, too. Been IM'ing me all morning about how good these songs are. And he's not wrong. I'll see if I can get it off of him and up it tonight if noone else does.

there's a 10"/EP another EP under their old name, This Charming Man, which is a bit more raw/Replacements sounding

i'll post those too

They opened last night for Thrice/Alkaline Trio and the headliner Rise Against My opinion - They are a solid live band. Really good, however, I have to put my two cents and say I don't really like the overly sentimental lyrics that feel somewhat underdeveloped to me. The energy and vocals of Bruce Sprinsteen are definately there though. I don't know how receptive the mostly punk audience was to them, but I sensed a lot of applause. I personally enjoyed the show, and probably enjoyed them more so because of how out of place they seemed. P.S. - I don't really like punk rock anymore, my friend dragged me to the show.
