I haven't gone through this somewhat pointless exercise of ranking my fav members. Admittedly I'm much more frequently on the music side, so my bias tends to run that way. You clever bastards - pardon me if you've been forgotten. Sparkleface with the good point. It has long irked me that uploading music = great dude (not singling out NewGrass here, as the blame is to be laid at the feet of those fawning consumers than the dealers, who just up stuff and mean well by it). Wow, [boarder x] Googled an album title and found a Mega Upload link for that album. What an esteemable individual! It's that kind of thing that kills discussion. So really I blame the fucking beggars rather than the uploaders.

Unless I'm fucking begging. But that's rare. And lossless files are an arse to trade when on as mediocre a connection as I am. And nobody try the 'uploading enables discussion!' line, because 90% of the time it's just begging and a thanks.

What you fail to realize, is I upload every single one of those albums. Those aren't random links, many of the uploads are my personal vinyl/CD rips. I think out of all of the uploads 1 or 2 were links I got off the internet. Michael, if people would discuss the music I upload in my thread I would gladly participate. I'm not a good writer, that's a fact. If I could write eloquently about the albums I would, but for me to discuss music I really have to orally talk about an album to describe it. Start discussing the albums I post and I'll gladly participate. I avoid other threads, because generally it's music I'm not really into or it's been discussed to death to me.

The whole purpose of my random uploads thread as I've stated many times is to expose people to music that they probably would never be exposed to on this board. It's seem to have served its purpose well. As I said, if so many people didn't just leech from my thread, and would actually discuss what they like I would write forever about the albums. Many of the albums I upload though are literally 1st and 2nd listens that just really impressed me so I'm not even sure what to think of them.

To label me the worst boarder on this board though, I dunno, whatever.

I don't see a purpose in badmouthing anyone cause there's nothing gained by it imo. Alienating myself or arguing with a perspective boarder about their lackluster contributions doesn't make for an enjoyable experience. A crazy day versus a slow month or a personal crisis may or may not get anyones attention here and despite all that. Whatever your motivation in life is, I think we value this virtual clipboard for some dumb reason or another. Whether there's comradery or not. It's here.
