Embarassing to admit but I'm listening to Cosmo's Factory for the first time right now and the first track isn't even over yet and this is already one of the best records I've ever heard.

i would def have trouble picking between the green river/w&pb/cosmo's factory trifecta of perfection if not for the presence of "ramble tamble" on cosmo's.
goddamn what a juggernaut of a song. and the last song on the album before it was "effigy" srsly this band could be heavier than sabbath when they wanted

Those tempo changes on "Ramble Tamble" go balls deep. That staccato riffing behind Fogerty's sustained-note solo makes me do an endzone genuflection/kiss/point combo.

john fogerty was the inspiration i had when i was recording the jimmy chamberlin complex, srsly i would just listen to the s/t and poor boys on a constant loop while in the recording studio.

It's hit or miss, with Centerfield, for all its Dadrock sound and overuse in sportscasts being the best of the lot. It sounds like a Creedence record, more or less, and it's decent. Its immediate followup is crap, and the succeeding records are, well, hit or miss. Good tracks and meh tracks. Worth getting, but probably not worth paying for.
