Pssh, teevee performances.
I still want SG's verdict, she was there.
they didn't even perform. they talked to that tool, jim shearer, and then a hot chip video played. meh.

it wasn't as hyper dance party as cut copy were when they came thru but it was still great. i liked the whole set, but they should have played more from the warning. so, you think 'over and over' is a great single and then it rages live.
i was really attracted to the night (aside from it being at one of my fave hooker dives) because jarrett of walter meego opened and they're my fave chicago band. interestingly, walter meego also opened for cut copy when they came thru and they will be playing again in a few days. i feel like a goddamn street teamer but they are worth the popularity they're gaining.
um, bald eagle (if you're reading this) it's too bad you weren't after the show 'cuz your set was really fun and more people needed to dance.
i just crawled out of bed...
p.s. yellow it's funny you say james murphy... i usually describe the band to friends as 'james murphy without a cold' and ants in their pants. XLR8R had a good article attempting to describe 'em. saying it must confuse the hell out of cd-sticker blurb writers.

It's "on a whole other level" as the kids say. Great album. It's a definite purchase for me when it (finally) comes out.
Cool, thanks. I'll have to check it out.

new album: the warning
http://s62.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0VUD1ZCKAPV472G4OMD75C46MF'arrest yourself' is def my pick. don't ask me to explain but it sounds like a funky detective song. if this picture were a song.

pst, look at all of these are great.

interesting pick. i must say that i go back and forth between no fit state (not upbeat...but i love the guitar in this tune and the supporting thick as f*ck synth) and just like we (breakdown).....for the layering and how it all fits together. That's my pick for best upbeat song on the album. Something about the combination of that beat, dirty synth, and near-falsetto "arrest yourself" in the chorus... so fine, so fine.
"Look After Me" is my fave despite being not at all representative of the album. Really hits the spot, considering my current love affair with '70s soft rock. I could listen to that song all day.
