Get your minds out of the gutter Sombies this thread is not about sex.
A friend of mine is having a birthday tomorrow and I've decided to make her some cupcakes to celebrate the occasion. I just finished making the buttercream and I plan on making the actual cupcakes tomorrow. Well this is the first time in a looooooong time that I have baked anything that wasn't at work. Which is sad considering how much I love baking but the drama and stresses of my former job pretty much took away my desire to bake at home. But now after busting out my brand new kick ass KitchenAid mixer and getting my hands dirty I feel like I've found my baking mojo again.
So SOMB share your tales of how you lost your passion for something and how you did or didn't get it back. Also what do you have a passion for and wish you could either do for a living or at least do more.

i dig this thread musicgurl. congrats on your baking!
i did ballroom dance for a year in college; i absolutely loved it and it was one of the few activities that actually pulled myself out of my head. then the following year broke my foot and soon after moved to france. when i came back, i worked hard to get back what i'd lost from the injury/inactivity.
then i moved to london, and for two years did absolutely nothing. i was too poor and too drained from my life to put any energy into it.
just 3 weeks ago i found a team i wanted to compete on, and am now throwing myself back into it. it makes me mad i waited this long, but it's so so good to be back.

Good for you Le Chaton for getting back to doing something you enjoy.
BTW, the aforementioned cupcakes just came out of the oven and my apartment smells like chocolate.

There was a two year lag between my last stereo and getting a computer, during which time I stopped making mix tapes. Now I make 'em all the time, only they're iTunes playlists.
