See who made Number 1 and Number 2. Do you agree, or are there others on the list (or not on the list) who deserve the Number 1 and 2 positions?

best singer??
in terms of what..pure vocal talent..
if so, iggy pop certainly doesnt make the list..
does entertainment value weigh in?
are there some metrics on this?
neil young is a favorite of mine, but he's not a great singer..
You're overthinking this.

Apart from write a song anyone other than a person permanently mired in their junior high pretension would want to hear. No offense, Ag, but the man wrote melodramatic schlock.

When I think of metal vocalists (in this realm of metal anyway), I think of Klaus Meine first.

To paraphrase the Firesign Theatre, "But it's good schlock, Mrs. Preske!"
But I believe this thread subject is about Great Singing, not Great Songwriting (even if Freddie was responsible for writing a few good tunes)
OTM, on both.
