Unless you're a dullard, musical taste isn't specific to begin with, so what's the point?
okay.
sooooo... my 5 would be.
1. Radiohead - OK Computer
2. Rolling Stones - Exile On Main St
3. Primal Scream - XTRMTR
4. Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden
5. My Bloody Valentine - Loveless

As I said, you should learn to read. This question addresses a specific point being made, not the thread, itself, and anyone with actual reading comprehension skills would be able to discern this by reading the thread in its entirety and not attempting to cherry pick statements in support of their point. You don't have any idea how stupid you look to people with brains, do you?
Only slightly less stupid than I look for bothering to talk to a person who so completely fails to grasp the dynamics of conversation.

Uh. I don't think this is going to be really anything other than me listing my 5 favorite records.
I assume this comment means you UNDERSTAND the exercise, you just don't want to participate?
i guess. Maybe I'll give it a shot,
The Replacements, Tim
This is, in fact, my favorite record of all time. Guess this covers well written rock and roll music in general. Or something.
The Fiery Furnaces, Blueberry Boat
This covers a lot of absurdity that I enjoy in music. And a lot of what I aspire to in my guitar playing.
The Velvet Underground, White Light/White Heat
Noise noise noise.
Guided By Voices, Bee Thousand
Because I really appreciate economy in songwriting. And the production is awesome.
Brian Eno, Another Green World
I think this sort of covers the electronic music element of my taste. And the production is awesome.

NJo?
I've also mastered the "Edit" function - that makes me pretty happy, too. You, I see, have yet to figure out how to quote someone w/o hitting "Reply."

*yawn*Oh, great, I've been debating someone who thinks of sex/women as "pussy." A complete cretin, in other words. How is it possible you like music of such intellectual rigor when the same rigor has bypassed you so completely?
so whats your 5?

A literate and numerate person would note that the thread has more than one page and try reading through from the beginning, rather than the first post he came to. You're picking this fight with me and you don't even know I posted my 5 on the first page?
Kill yourself - you will not be missed.
