The record store closed and rose up a cloud of dust on us
Footsteps follow, out the door, past hollow shelves, torn up.

And you and I and Simakos
With a vision of what we lost
all the record buyers dissipate
Shadows of the mess you made

It's so much easier to download the songs, I find
Filling up an external drive or two, all night?

And you and I and Simakos
With a vision of what we lost
all the record buyers dissipate
Shadows of the mess you made

El oso you don't need to turn me away
I was waiting but it's too late

Download
You don't even have to pay
Download today

I remember how it brought you down
As the 2nd hand record store closed down

Download
You don't have to pay
Download today

When listening El Oso don't you forget
It ain't every rabbit that's frighten-ed

Download
You don't have to pay
Download today

Agrimorfee 2008
Nice bowl of Crunchy Nut you got here, pretty expensive as I recall.

I already forgot to throw in Dan Friel and Mogwai, so I will just slip them in at 31 and 32, and not bother trying to figure out where they should go. Likewise, M83, TVOTR, and Fennesz are really tied in my eyes, but I just ordered them in which one had more listens. (Which isn't really the best way, seeing as M83 has been out like 7 months longer than Fennesz, but whatever) Edit: Hell I also forgot Gang Gang Dance! oops, that'll go at number 33. There, I swear I am done.

Re: Jay Reatard singles '08

Like I said in the comps. thread, my interpretation of the rules is that because all the songs (except for the "bonus" track) were previously released, even if that was in 2008.

While this isn't really an issue to me materially (it's not high on my list), your rules seem inconsistent. These are allowed:

-2008 Albums include:
2. Live albums (not ones being re-issued or of all old material)
3. Label compilations (of recent stuff)
4. Artist remix/b-sides/unreleased compilations of all or mostly 2008 material

But an artist compilation of all 2008 material, including b-sides, is ineligible.

I'll repeat what I posted before. If one is to vote for EPs in the Singles Poll, why are they also being voted-for in THIS POLL?

The Air Force EP that I voted for is 23 minutes, so that feels like album length to me.

And The Field EP is over an hour.

So, looks like I'll be checking out this Black Dog album.
