This never gets any easier. Not only listening to everything I want to, but managing what I have and getting it into lists. There was a LOT of good music this year, and I'm sure that I'll hear a lot more as I eventually get caught up on things that I have not listened to (TVOTR, Blitzen Trapper, No Age, Broken West. Sun Kil Moon are the obvious omissions).

Not going to happen.

Tio Bitar barely made the 100 last year, and this one had even less exposure.

That's real a shame, too, because all Dungen has done since the trendy Ta Det Lugnt is become an even better band with each subsequent release. 4 is #11 on my list.

This is very true. 4 is one of those albums I found myself listening to three or four times through without getting sick of it for a moment.

Good stuff.

It kinda blew me away the first time I heard it, mainly because the song playing at Reckless("Det Tar Tid") had absolutely perfect keyboards. I didn't expect that they would evolve this much since Ta Det Lugnt. One of my nice surprises of the year, I would say.

This is a very cool top ten.

Shit, I just want to see the final results already.

Damo Suzuki: So, um, yeah. Getting older isn't as bad as it sounds. Better than being young & poor (DjDrake) or young & slutty (SG) or young, poor and slutty (Paves); am I right?

Alright, my friends. It's time for another solid little rock jam

I like that Convival keeps showing up relatively high(at least on the lists I'm looking at). I'm interested to see where that guy will place.

Some things that have surprised me:

*I defended the album as being "solid" myself but I've been shocked to see the new Beck album on a bunch of lists. I'd have to consider myself someone who's still a biased fan of the man, but it didn't even crack my top 50. I was surprised to see it on many lists at all, let alone see it ranked in peoples' top 5.

*Chinese Democracy has two #1 votes and has appeared on several lists.

God, don't let TV on the Radio or Fleet Foxes be #1. Go Portishead!
"LETS GET SOME FUCKING ENERGY UP IN THIS BITCH MOTHERFUCKERS! You are not resigned to a fate of slow, painful death. The world is not as Radiohead and Portishead see it. "Oh the suffering! Oh the suffering, I feel the weight of the world and all it's pain" FUCK YOU......Be the grizzly, tear some shit up, rather than tearing yourself up." -- Montana, 12/21/08
