5. The Plastic Constellations-We Appreciate You
6. Little Jackie-The Stoop

28. The Knux-Remind Me in 3 Days...

35. Yo Majesty-Futuristically Speaking...Never Be Afraid

Nice to see some love for Yo Majesty. The other three I haven't listened to. I know about The Knux, just never checked them out. What type of hip-hop is it?

The other two just sound really appealing so I think I will track them down solely because of their names.

the knux kinda suck. just bland mildly organic sounding pop hip hop. the hooks aren't anything special, neither are the lyrics, the vibe, the anything really. it's not bad, just instantly forgettable.

Ahh, I think those beats are ridiculous. It's the kind of album N.E.R.D. should be making now. It's like someone gave the Native Tongues a bunch of guitars and pedals and was like, "I need you to rock this stadium as if your life depended on it. GO!" The album does have a very uniform sound, so if you can't get past a few tracks, the rest you might not dig.

i didn't mean to sound overly bitchy. they're not a band that would drop anyone in my estimation were i to learn they really liked the band. it just doesn't do a single thing for me. maybe their next album they'll get a little more fishbone-y or something.

1. Portishead - Third
2. Have a Nice Life - Deathconsciousness
3. Deerhunter - Microcastle / Weird Era Cont.

Well given that your #1 &#3 were my #1 & #2, i'd better get my act together and tune into Deathconsciousness pronto. Good to see The Advisory Circle placed too, i think this was my favourite list.

some of the people voting here towards the end apparently didn't look at the FORM on how to submit their lists.

completely forgot to vote for it

These comments sprinkled throughout the thread baffle me. Use the Year field in your ID3 tags, create a smart playlist or whatever where Year == 2008, and this should never happen.
