If I understand the rules properly, I think three of my favorite releases can't even be submitted in this list. Oh well. Whatever. Nevermind.
Let me know what the other three are and I can double get the eligibility. If they had any release in 2008 and didn't make our top 100 list last year, they should be eligible.
really, Paul, it's Ok - they fit somewhere in all these lists. Just not this one.

Surprised to see Conor Oberst up so high.
Oberst figures to be pretty high on my list as well, as always. Good album.
Liked Oberst better than Cassadaga Nights. "Sausalito" is where it's at.

Agreed. I was very underwhelmed with Cassadega. In regards to Oberst, I enjoyed it but, for some reason, forgot about it shortly after. I really got into Lifted and I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning. I'll revisit this album soon.

As usual, trying hard to avoid reading lists so as to not sway my picks.
Wouldn't your boarding be better spent avoiding this thread then?

Well, they didn't leak together. "Sun Giant" was around well before "Fleet Foxes.""Shouldn't Sun Giant EP be considered a separate release?"
I'm including them as one entry on my list as well. They leaked together and they fit on one disc, while at the same time retaining cohesiveness.
But even if they did, what does it matter? How does a record's leak change it's physical release? They were released as two totally different releases. Different release dates.

I like reading the lists to remind me of things I still need to check out. On the negative side, shit's overwhelming. On the plus, whole lotta awesome out there to be heard.

I haven't started tabbing any of the lists yet, so if you need to make corrections for now you can do it in the actual post.

Damo Suzuki: So, um, yeah. Getting older isn't as bad as it sounds. Better than being young & poor (DjDrake) or young & slutty (SG) or young, poor and slutty (Paves); am I right?
Alright, my friends. It's time for another solid little rock jam

The S/T leaked at the same time. People on atease were looking for Sun Giant EP and inadvertently found the LP (which was then called Ragged Wood) in the process. It's true they had different releases, yes, but many of us heard them at the same time and even if you didn't, how are you supposed to separate them? They sound like logical extensions of each other. What was the deal with Cryptograms/Fluorescent Grey here last year (when I wasn't really active here)?
