And we'll call this OFFICIAL:

10. Los Campensinos- Hold On Now, Youngster..
14. Flight Of The Conchords- Flight Of The Conchords
20. Local H- Twelve Angry Months

List probably most similar to mine.
Thanks for reminding to give the above a listen or two before the deadline.
Sorry, I was being pretentious. Please don't mess with my stars.

"Shouldn't Sun Giant EP be considered a separate release?"

I'm including them as one entry on my list as well. They leaked together and they fit on one disc, while at the same time retaining cohesiveness.

Well, they didn't leak together. "Sun Giant" was around well before "Fleet Foxes."

But even if they did, what does it matter? How does a record's leak change it's physical release? They were released as two totally different releases. Different release dates.

The S/T leaked at the same time. People on atease were looking for Sun Giant EP and inadvertently found the LP (which was then called Ragged Wood) in the process. It's true they had different releases, yes, but many of us heard them at the same time and even if you didn't, how are you supposed to separate them? They sound like logical extensions of each other. What was the deal with Cryptograms/Fluorescent Grey here last year (when I wasn't really active here)?

Whether or not individuals downloaded and listened to them on the same day or not, they had different release dates, they are different releases.

"'I Love My Dad' is the only one that slightly annoys me, maybe because I never loved my dad."

Excellent. Two #1's for Chinese Democracy, and well deserved.
Every Sunday morning I wake up
I see you by your dresser doing your make-up
Fluttering a Chinese fan in a Knoxville fashion
All last night you tossed and turned
Your body was hotter than the night Richmond burned
You say you had a bad nightmare about tractor trailers crashing

Just like last year, I had a clear #1 right up until November, where something blindsided me with science. Starkey's gleeful six-synth pile-ups and jacked beats have that wonderful effect of reminding me why I fell in love with music in the first place.

As official as it gets:

16. Syclops - I've Got My Eye On You
15. Lindstrom - Where I Go, You Go Too
14. Flying Lotus - Los Angeles
13. The Old Believers - Eight Golden Greats
12. Kevin Drumm - Imperial Distortion
11. Ricardo Villalobos - Vasco
10. Evangelista - Hello, Voyager
09. Jóhann Jóhannsson - Fordlandia
08. Fennesz - Black Sea
07. Slim Cessna's Auto Club - Cipher
06. Move D and Benjamin Brunn - Songs from the Beehive
05. Bruno Pronsato - Why Can't We Be Like Us?
04. Gang Gang Dance - Saint Dymphna
03. The Goodnight Loving - The Goodnight Loving
02. Jacaszek - Treny
01. Starkey - Ephemeral Exhibits

The Kevin Drumm album is simultaneously #1, #11 and #500. It's in there because it has to be in there but figuring out what and why is impossible. Is this what it's like being avec all the time?

All this thread is doing is reminding me how much I still need to listen to, and how much I still need to listen to more, before I make my list up.

You know, I just saw these guys like a week or two ago at the recommendation of a coworker. They were pretty good. I checked out this disc shortly thereafter it's nice. Big fan of 'Ten Dead Dogs.'

Damo Suzuki: So, um, yeah. Getting older isn't as bad as it sounds. Better than being young & poor (DjDrake) or young & slutty (SG) or young, poor and slutty (Paves); am I right?

Alright, my friends. It's time for another solid little rock jam

That reminds me of 2005 when I just didn't know what to make of Sunn O)))'s Black One. I had trouble even accepting it as music, yet I just kept going back to it for some reason. I later realized that it was an achievement on the level of the most monolithically wonderful pop albums from that year. It just sounded different.

Sweet list, anyway.

Once again, just to remind everybody:

I haven't started tabbing any of the lists yet, so if you need to make corrections for now you can do it in the actual post.

edited list a few pages forward. sorry.
Download this EP I made. The songs are pretty close to where they should be. I colaborated with Brian Wilson and Thom Yorke and then we all fucked in my basement apartment. Thom has a really big dick suprisingly, and Brian Wilson cried the whole time, yelling "These moans are not in perfect harmonic unison". Anyway, it sounds like what you would imagine something from that situation sounds like.

No, but I'm reading about it right now and it appears to have been released on Rune Grammofon, so I'm pretty much sold.
