The short reply is fuck you. Hall & Oates do nothing for me and never have: I didn't realize there could be right and wrong ansers to a question of personal preference. A lot of people like H&O and that's fine, but screw everyone here if you think you can tell me not to have an opinion simply b/c you disagree with it. I would be pleased as all hell to leave SOE alone, but when a man says willfully stupid things and shoves them up in my face, well, I just don't have that much character, Noo ne else here seems to, either, so that brings us back to the short answer:

To the bold and underlined part of your statement, I agree completely. That there are no rights and wrongs here is a fact very well illustrated throughout the thread, and it is what I was not so subtly trying to allude to with my three selections for "shitty bands."

To all your fuck yous and to your attitude in general, I say - calm the heck down. Had I opted for politeness, which I probably should've done, I'd have said "Hall and Oates is not a call I agree with." In no way was I trying to rally against your own personal opinion or right to have one.
