Didn't he release a solo version of that song a couple of years ago? I have never heard it, just wondering if it's just as awful as the duet.

I fully support people doing drugs on the streets. I'm sick and tired of people being selfish by doing drugs in the privacy of their own homes. Do it on the streets where you can share with your friends and neighbors. It's the Christian thing to do.

A good reason to hate Pipes Of Peace:Gotta admit though, "Say Say Say" was a much better duet with MJ than "The Girl Is Mine"

"Is everyone on here just an act sometimes?"--Hummingbird

Read all of my stupid song parodies here. Latest song improved/ruined: "Barbara Ann" by The Beach Boys.

"A Wonderful Christmas Time" = song of the century.

Edited by Frank Valentine, 12 January 2009 - 09:56 AM.

Half asleep in a guitar town while outside it is snowing... cigarettes on your peppermint breath Honey, which way are you going?

Fireman. Had my hopes up too. Just miserable.

Oh dear! The Fireman album has been getting some good reviews. I love Paul McCartney, but I do not think it's worth to buy any more of his albums. He has lost his ability to write worthwhile songs. So sad. He should just stick to touring these days.

I'm surprised to see how many people put McCartney II in the top 5 best. I do not own it, but I've heard people say it is pretty miserable. What justifies/redeems it?

I think the Michael Jackson/Paul McCartney duets are by far the worst! "Ebony and Ivory" with Stevie Wonder comes in third to worse after those.

Better duets for Paul: with Carl Perkins on Tug of War and with Elvis Costello (songwriting credits, but I don't think they performed together).

Okay, I'm kind of going nuts on the posts on this topic. Forgive me, but there's one more related thing. In the news last week was the story that Michael Jackson believes he is dying from a couple of different lung diseases, and so, he has rewritten his will to give the Lennon-McCartney song catalog rights to McCartney. Jackson said he regrets the fued that ensued when he outbid McCartney for the song catalog, and so he wants to make peace.
