go to the youtube page.

highlight the tail end of the address. The part after the = sign.
copy.
paste.
highlight in your post.
click the insert:youtube option at left.

Send me a thank you.

Say hi to your mother for me.

FIN.

the button does that automatically. It's what was inside the tags that everyone was getting wrong.

Is anyone actually getting this wrong? Or are you just looking at clips people posted before they turned off a lot of the java stuff and the regular youtube embedding (even the stuff from old posts that used to work) started showing up as just code?

I've noticed two or three this week. they used the tags, but put the whole address inside them

randomly selected clip to test what theremin is talking about: Here is the clip using embed code from the page and the Youtube tags (which is what I've been doing since the switch): And here is the same using theremin's instructions: Edit after result posted-- Um...my way works. :huh: Of course, if the page does not have an embed code, you'll have to use the old fashioned hyperlink to the URL...which is what I do most of the time anyway on threads not wholly devoted to Youtube. 2nd Edit--Fixed.

Fixed. I had 2 = in the initial URL. :blink: Eh well, whatever works.
