What a miserable life it must be to be away from internet.

The Reader was very good too, but forgot about it. Would maybe make the 11-20 rung for me.

My wife and I had a rare date Monday afternoon and she wanted to see a comedy- we love Kevin James...but man was Paul Blart awful.

I Agree - left before the movie was over to catch Defiance.
I'm sure the ending was predictable.

18. Che
17. Role Models
16. 24 City
15. Wendy & Lucy
14. Happy-Go-Lucky
13. Let the Right One In
12. Milk
11. Doubt
10. Vicky Christina Barcelona
09. Wall-E
08. Encounters at the End of the World
07. Man on Wire
06. The Dark Knight
05. The Wrestler
04. My Winnipeg
03. Synecdoche, New York
02. Rachel Getting Married

Really good list Damo, but I have to ask, seeing the quality of your choices: can you help me with that Zack & Miri inclusion? I hated that movie with a red-hot passion. Am I missing something?

Smith's strongest script. I enjoyed the film's particular dialogue. It was all the best aspects of Smith's former films without the meandering or wink-wink nonsense.

Torn on adding PBS docs from Frontline and Independent Lens to my list: Boogie Man and Atom Smashers.
I know I said no to Boogie Man before but it's tempting to include that on my list.
Do these cross the line into TV?
People can Netflix them, at least with Atom Smashers you can.

I believe that frontline generally creates works to be made on TV. Independent Lens, however, is taking films from the festival circuit and showing them on TV.

I'm pretty down with Atom Smashers, I'd probably vote for that. Did I mention I'm playing it at the fest?

I concur...with the passion of a billion suns, I hated this movie....and it even made me reconsider the greatness of Seth Rogen. The rest of Damo's list is solid...never even heard of his #4 and #16.

1. Let the Right One In (Låt den rätte komma inn) 9.0 2. Wall-E 9.0 3. Adrift in Tokyo 8.7 4. The World Is Big and Salvation Lurks around the Corner (Svetat e goljam i spasenie debne otvsjakade) 8.6 5. The Dark Knight 7.7 6. The Wackness 7.5 I missed out on a lot this year. Let the Right One In is absolutely worth checking out, amazing job by the girl lead. Some of these might not be eligible, I'm not sure.

I am almost certain The Fall came out years ago. I wrote a blog post about it like 2 years ago.

Maybe you saw it at a film festival.

Maybe you're thinking of Legends of the Fall.

It played at Festivals in 2006 and 2007 but only got a U.S. theatrical release last year.

Well, I'm fine with that if it got released this year to the general public. Just saying the movie is pretty far back in my memory. If I knew it were eligible I may have voted for it. But w/e.
