P&J results are unusually early this year. Nice to see.
Torche (31) and Metallica (37) are shockingly high.

R.E.M., Girl Talk, Los Campesinos, No Age, My Morning Jacket all in the top 40? Yuck.
Nice bowl of Crunchy Nut you got here, pretty expensive as I recall.

Not a huge fan of the list, but I'm glad Metallica, R.E.M., Fucked Up, Cut Copy, Byrne & Eno, and Torche made the top 40.

That shit Coldplay record ahead of Cut Copy, Q-Tip, DBT's, Frightened Rabbit, among many others makes me question humanity.
Not surprised, just can't believe so many liked it that high above much more deserving fare.

i thought the list was very interesting. the logical middle ground between NPR and Pitchfork with a little bit more sass their either of those publications.
their features are also phenomenal in the way they manage to seem so involved and serious over ridiculous minutia. great, thoughtful pieces though.
