undo's opinion on "some velvet morning" is some heartbreaking shit
maybe I'll come around someday.
But do you like other bands like them? For me, the answer is Radiohead. Every critic's darling, and most of my musician friends love them. It's always been hit and mostly miss for me.

Dusty Springfield - Dusty in Memphis 8.5/10
Buddy & Julie Miller - Written in Chalk wow, first listen, but great great record! 9.3/10
Justin Townes Earle - Midnight at the Moviessurprisingly great, never picked up his past releases, but this one's knocking my socks off right away, 8.7/10
M. Ward - Hold Time 8.0/10
Neko Case -Middle Cyclone her best I've heard is my initial impression, but too soon to rate, haven't had a really good listen yet 7.8/10

Sonic Youth
I have been trying for years and it has not worked yet. I love Yo La Tengo, but I think the difference is that YLT always maintains a melody or pleasing drone to be the counterpoint to the dissonance (i.e., Little Honda). If someone can offer me a way in...I'm open to suggestions.
Murray Street, if you haven't heard it.

true to what you said. there's limitations to the DMC output that may not actually be deemed as 'classic'. Similar to the other early pioneers as being 'must haves' some of it just isn't all that.1. RUN-DMC
same case for me but some of it (particularly the covers I've heard) made up for it.2. Brian Eno - "Baby's on Fire"
The new one with Byrne is worth checking out.
eh. it's a song. I wouldn't get bent outta shape for not loving every single VU track either.3. Lee Hazelwood & Nancy Sinatra - "Some Velvet Morning"
one trick pony. 'Warriors' clips weere smart but overall the band was DOA4. Pop Will Eat Itself
got nothing.5. Terry Riley - In C
If you said the same about the first EP then I'd be shocked but it's not the holy grail exactly.6. REM - Murmur
- Nick Cave

Some would say yes. I like U2, and I like Coldplay.

Animal Collective:Outside of Peacebone I really am not into any of their songs.I've tried quite a few times,But There is just something about the music that I can't get into.
Dire Straits:Knopler plays guitar well,But outside of maybe four or five songs I'm really not digging it.
The Moody Blues:I love Nights In White Satin,But the rest of Days Of Future Past bores me.
Days Of Future Past is their career high.
I almost bought Brothers In Arms, but I was glad I didn't when i heard it played on the Loop in its entirety. A very, very boring album.
And AC is on my list as well.

Echo And The Bunnymen:I've tried to pretend to like these guys,But I just can't do it.Boring generic 80's synth(I haven't heard Ocean Rain yet,But I doubt it will sway my opinion of these guys.)The Killing Moon's a good song though.
Outside of Ocean Rain, I haven't been terribly impressed yet, but Ocean Rain is one of my favorite albums of all time. So maybe it would sway you. Especially since you like Killing Moon. If you want I can upload it.

People are really surprised I don't like Weezer.
Nobody likes Weezer except for a few people who post here, I'm convinced of that.
