Here is the voting thread for our update on the all-time albums poll. Just a couple of guidelines I want to get out of the way: -Vote for as few as ten and as many as one-hundred albums in a NUMBERED list -please post your list in this format: "ARTIST - ALBUM" It makes it a lot easier for me when tabbing them -you can submit your list either by posting it in this thread or sending it to me as a private message -once your list is posted or sent to me, changes can only be made by swapping one album in for another. Sorry, we can't just slide everything down a spot because I would have to re-tabulate your list -the concept of an "album" for this poll includes live releases, but let's try and keep everything to material that was officially released in some form (meaning unless you can make a really great argument for it, don't vote for a bootleg) -be clear if there might be any confusion over an artist or album title. Like if you vote for Weezer - Weezer, I'm going to assume that is the Blue Album, but if you put Weezer (2000) or Weezer (2008), it will be much clearer. Same thing with stuff like the first four Peter Gabriel albums. If you're not clear, I'll make an assumption as to what you meant. -re:Compilations, try to keep your voting to compilations that are made up primarily of non-album material. I'm not putting a hard rule in place on this, but it will be a much better list if you're not just listing off greatest hits albums because they have all the best songs on them. All lists are due in by Sunday March 8th. The results should start relatively soon after that. Sometime later this year, we will do an all-time songs poll, so be on the lookout for that. And as always, if you have any questions, either post them in this thread or pm them to me and I'll do my best to answer them. Hopefully there shouldn't really be any questions about eligibility with this type of poll. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone's lists.

I am going to post 130 pictures of my grotesque uncircumcised member in the next two days to hit this quota.

I'm submitting my list anyways. If it's not counted, whatever. I come to this board often enough and have participated in the greatest Artist list and AOTY lists before. If I'm disqualified because I don't feel the need to constantly post about the same four artists over and over then oh well! What a tragedy

Don't worry, Montana's rule is just his rule - not the poll's.

Those are some strong words coming from a guy who only posts on a music forum to promote his comedy.

Somebody recommend something I haven't heard, but probably should have, and should vote for, in this poll...right now.

Those are some strong words coming from a guy who posts on a music forum to promote his music website, where the AOTY for 2008 is different from the one I put on the SOMB. But hey, it's probably for theatrics because I know people here hate me.

There's a big difference between on-topic linking to a hobby site and desperately trying to promote myself on a forum that has no relevance to the promotion. If desperation were sport you'd be MJ.

There's a difference though. You don't mind lists from people with lo post counts if you like their lists.

Case in point

I think you should just get over it. Who's to say that someone with 100 posts doesn't have a better list than someone with 5000?

Anyway... enough of this! Who's gonna give up their list first?!?

I only registered last month but I've been visiting the site for at least two years. I even tried registering a few times but was never confirmed for some reason so I forgot about it. I think that last Arcade Fire album had just leaked and people were excited about that. I'm practically a veteran.

For me, I'm sure this will be the ultimate fuck-I-overlooked-another-fucking-great-album-now-where-the-fuck-does-that-fucker-go fest. Should be a blast.
