47. System Of A Down - Toxicity

I just listened to this today, and reminded myself how great it is. Wish I'd included it now. I like it because it takes me back, but apart from that it's a fucking great record.

Love your list btw.

I'm pretty sure I do, yeah. It might slip back over a year or two but it's certainly the record I played most over last year, by a long way, so it's good for its place at the moment.

Although I think that album sucks, I agree with the logic behind your list. Mine is the same way. Basically the albums I listened to the most the last year.
Every Sunday morning I wake up
I see you by your dresser doing your make-up
Fluttering a Chinese fan in a Knoxville fashion
All last night you tossed and turned
Your body was hotter than the night Richmond burned
You say you had a bad nightmare about tractor trailers crashing

What's with the posting of other people's lists? Should a list even be eligible if the person doesn't have the balls to post it themselves?

He has a bunch of posts here and that's the list that he made... it's Paul's call.

Don't get the concept of people trying to like albums, personally. If you think it's shit, listen to stuff you like instead.

You have no idea how many albums I have listened to that first time around I hated and now I can't get enough of. One of those albums right now for me is last years Portishead. Listened to it a few times last year and I though meh, don't get all of the hype. I think I am finally starting come around. Sometimes though you have to listen to some other stuff and then go back to it and for whatever reason it might just click.

I recalculated the 2006 by decade album polls by awarding the albums an average points per voter (for that split decade) and it looks like this

1 Radiohead OK Computer 73.72 Place on 2004/5 poll 1
2 Beatles Revolver 71.95 3
