Is California going to collapse in the coming weeks? Sure looks like it. The fine border citizens of Oregon, Nevada, etc should be armed with cross-bows & given the OK to shoot-to-kill if them wierd ass Californians come stumbling towards the heart & soul of this country. Where's Vivian Darkbloom? He's a Californian, right? We need some in-the-mix commentary.

...attack to plunge CA into the pacific ocean

Hey, it's TJENZ - what's shaking, dude? Canadian cult faves The Rheostatics used the phrase "californication", like, a decade before those dandies in The RHCP did. That's all I've got about California. I've been there a few times. It's weird place. I saw a lot of kids that smelled like armpit walking dogs using shoelaces as a leash. Uber alles!!

California is about to lay off 20,000 government workers. Most state projects (infrastructure) will come to a complete stop. Not a good thing.

All state offices (well, except for Employment Development, appropriately enough) are now closed every other Friday, with workers getting the concomitant cut in pay. Many local governments have also/are considering implementing such a scheme. So it's "just" fewer hours to avoid wholesale layoffs. I avoid depressing news, so maybe something more ominous is also in the works. As I understand it, we're in this mess because revenues are down and nobody but Arnold wanted to cut programs.

the real estate market is experiencing a free-fall as well... California is doomed.

This is a good thing. People work too much in this country, and everyone knows that government employees are notorious for fraud, waste and abuse. Maybe now they will actually start doing some work instead of surfin the net all day while eating twinkies!

Don't let it get to you. Get yourself a powerful roofing nail gun & load up on bottled water. Californians are the litter of resourceful gold miners & showgirls - I'm sure you'll all handle this with aplomb. If this were happening in, say, Idaho then panic would be an option.
