Damn, Sky's a bit low. But looks like Charli cracked the top 40 which is nice.

Wait Deerhunter had an album out and it didn't crack the Top 40?  This really is a brave new world for the SOMB.

Damn, Sky's a bit low.

Yeah, surprised to see it just a few steps up on Waxahatchee.

No, it'll be stupid, and we're already doing something stupid.

That Deerhunter album really disappointed me. They used to be so far out and now they're playing it so safe. I wonder how much they really care anymore. I guess it's inevitable considering how much success they've had since moving away from the psychedelic/experimental days of Cryptograms an  embracing a more predictable/inoffensive indie rock sound. I guess that gets them festival bookings that let them pay their rent, or something. I remember enjoying 2 tracks on the new album but the whole second half of it being very boring. I sold my copy of it a few months ago.

I've really enjoyed all of Deerhunter's albums and even thought Monomania was solid but not near their best.  I think that Cryptograms stands as their most exciting release still and I believe that is what this band should move back to.

Nice to see Washed Out and Delorean back to back, two very similar albums but both very good. I think their position is about par to be fair, even if we had a hundred more voters they would have been in that ballpark.

Still never listened to Deerhunter, am I missing out?

Sky Ferreira is surprisngly low. Maybe DJ Rashad as well given all the critical acclaim for that record, although I found it to be a bit disappointing, just mostly fragments, no flow to it at all and the individual tracks wreen't strong enough to counteract that.

this dudes sample game never fails to amaze me. The Pentangle and Stravinsky ones on Stone Island are two of my favourite musical moments this year.

Eagle-eyed viewers of Idris Elba's recent BBC show on man's thirst for vehicular speed will have noticed Alex Omar Smith, leaning against a wall in Detroit, looking chill.
