Sellars was the more talented comic
depends on how you're defining comic. Murray came up with his own material. Because of this, I'd say he's a much more talented comedian.

Sellers came up with his own, you just don't see it much in the US. Check out Down Among the Z Men, Penny Points to Paradise, Let's Go Crazy, or any of the other existing comedies from "the Goon Show" crazies.

Should have stayed home and drank beer instead of going to work today.
Heh heh, he said "Wiener"...Now Playing: Brahms, Symphony No 2; Giulini - Wiener

Agreed on the apples and oranges.Too much apples and oranges. Rely on Murray's slow burns and wisecracking, rely on Sellers to completely inhabit his character. Both are excellent in what they do/did, as long as they are/were committed to the material (see Murray's couldn't-give-a-fuck performance in "Ghostbusters II" to see what I mean).

There's no way Eddie is in the same league as Sellers or Murray. Chris Rock is more interesting that Murphy. Hell, Bob Sagat is more interesting that Murphy these days. Don't believe me? Watch the Aristocrats.I reckon these are 2 of the top 3 comedy actors off all time, the best being Eddie Murphy.
