I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled two days before this, but I still hoping to go. Maybe my vicodin or whatever they give me will make it even more rocking.

I'll be there, too. I hear they're doing an instore at Tower earlier in the day, too. I think I'd rather get drunk, though, during that time.

It's not sold out, but it should still be pretty full. Alls I know is that the crowd, however large, better be good, or I'll vomit on someone.

The show sold out. The opening band was great. Reminded me a lot of Pearl Jam and Nirvana, though. I'd see them again at a different venue. Wolfmother was pretty great. Not as great as their Empty Bottle show, but you know how that goes. I think I'm done seeing them for a little while... the crowd was ridiculous. Backward Cubs hats all around. Sin City, if you read this, I saw Lou. I didn't say anything, but I saw him. I'll let someone else do the real show review.

not quite a real show review, but that was damn fun. the guys know how to put on a show and please the crowd. highlights for me were woman, dimensions, and they tore right through love train, which was great. good times. i didn't see the empty bottle show, so i can't compare the two. i do know it sold out before show time.

Yeah normally that kind of thing doesn't bother me, but it was oddly noticable last night. I think I saw 5 or 6 just in my immediate area. Are people still doing that, wearing hats backwards? Really? It's fucking 2006 already, let it go.

I thought it was fairly comparable to the Bottle show, their sound is so big the extra space was good. Plus we got more keyboard action last night.

to be fair to cubs fans, i also noticed backward white & red sox hats. remember those guys that ran onto the field at comiskey a few years ago to beat the umpire or coach or whoever that was? i'm pretty sure that they were standing next to me last night. troy polamalu, too. and a fifty-ish black lady.

i've had "apple tree" in my head all morning.

kyle, i'm glad that you decided to go after all.

i may have been near you if fifty-ish black lady was just to the left-front of the soundboard.

going was a gametime decision -- i made a crucial choice to leave 5 drinking girls who wanted to go sing karaoke. there will be other nights for that, wolfmother only comes around so often.

typical jasmine-lou conversation:

jasmine: hey lou.
lou: hey jasmine.
jasmine: so, how's it going?
lou: good. you?
jasmine: can't complain.

(cue uncomfortable silence)

lou: yeah, so i'll see you later.
jasmine: yep. say hi to brian for me.

how do you think I've remained friends with him for so long? That's a deep conversation for Lou.

weird, i didn't notice the backwards cubs hats, seemed like a pretty normal, slightly older crowd. and didn't expect to see crowd surfing.
