I was about to say, "I'll give you ten bucks for this," but I just looked on the Reckless website and it looks like this thing was reissued this year.
I guess I'll be picking it up next week! Excellent.

Damo Suzuki: So, um, yeah. Getting older isn't as bad as it sounds. Better than being young & poor (DjDrake) or young & slutty (SG) or young, poor and slutty (Paves); am I right?
Alright, my friends. It's time for another solid little rock jam

Blue Note vinyl reissues are cheap, too.I was about to say, "I'll give you ten bucks for this," but I just looked on the Reckless website and it looks like this thing was reissued this year.

They even used the original mono mix on the Eric Dolphy - a nice touch, especially if you already have the stereo version on digital.

It's a mystery to me how people can love Dead Meadow, yet hate these guys.

Revealing touches of alt country, the fractured melodies of Brian Poirier and Dave MacKinnon find companionship with television news excerpts, toy xylophones and a broken megaphone.

They had ~10 copies at Amoeba a month or so ago. I didn't grab it 'cause I was with my wife and I was already buying about $50 worth of records, which is a lot of money for me. I felt that I had to be a good husband and buy her that Feist record instead of paying $8.99 for some fucking Dolphy. My main logic was this: It's clearly been reissued and it'll be here for a month at least; I'll grab it next time. (Yes, you see where this is going. I'm still going to finish my fucking story.) Or, I figured, maybe I'll find a nice, old used copy. Sweet balls, no? Anyway, I go back a week later, intent on buying this platter of Jesus and find - to my fucking chagrin - that it's gone.
Bitches.
edit: oh yeah, NP:

Thanks, simakos. This weekend was the first time I'd listened to an entire album by him. I'll definitely check that out.
