R.E.M. - Out of Time
Still sounds good after all these years. An underrated release imo. Automatic gets all the praise, but this is a solid album. Plus you can beat "Texarkana"

Suffer Age has got to be one of the best metal tracks I've ever heard. Album is kind of long but gets better and better towards the end.

I wish that album was as good as the cover. I kinda dig it though, in the right mood. It's a really really quiet slow moving affair, however. the cover is the best I've seen in years though. WOW!
Sail Away: The Songs of Randy Newman -7.5/10
Dusty Springfield - Dusty in Memphis 8.5/10
Buddy & Julie Miller - Written in Chalk wow, first listen, but great great record! 9.3/10
Justin Townes Earle - Midnight at the Moviessurprisingly great, never picked up his past releases, but this one's knocking my socks off right away, 8.7/10
M. Ward - Hold Time 8.0/10
Neko Case -Middle Cyclone her best I've heard is my initial impression, but too soon to rate, haven't had a really good listen yet 7.8/10

Thirty years ago this month. Big bootleg because it was broadcast live regionally. Small club show in celebration of WMMS 10th anniversary and Bruce owned the town. My copy has Twist and Shout which wasn't broadcast over the air. Band came on well after they turned on the house lights for one more song.
Turn it up loud!

How is this, Rob? I've been debating whether or not to expend the effort to check it out. Loved Rabbit Fur Coat.

YESSSSSSSSSS!! This is way better than I was even expecting it to be! Best surprise all year..so great.
Posted Image
I've had this for months and still can't really wrap my head around it..
Posted Image
Still undoubtedly the best grindcore (or death metal) album I've ever heard.
Posted Image
Notice new things every time I listen..
Posted Image
A bit disappointed by this..
Posted Image
too fucking good
Posted Image
Mayhem - Live In Leipzig -- this is ridiculously brutal. way heavier than both the Deathcrush EP and Des Mysteriis Dom Sathanas..
Posted Image
Small picture.. Emergency Room LP, sort of like a No New York for Vancouver (except current)... excellent stuff

This was better than I expected. I also don't get why some regard this as their sellout record. For crying out loud it has a song that mocks the video making scene("Money For Nothing" which by the way is a great song.). Some really neat stuff here(Like "Your Latest Trick" and "Why Worry")and although it's laid back it's an enjoyable laid back.A decent album.

Posted Image

I like McDonald's voice and all,But this album is horrible. About two and a half good songs(Minute By Minute,What A Fool Believes and ,depending on my mood, "Will The Fools Survive")and everything else is crap.

Posted Image

I liked about half of this. Considering I only paid a buck for it I can't say I've wasted my money.
